Gold Plus Stroke Award

The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recognizes Iredell Health System's commitment to patient care.

The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recognize Iredell Memorial for achieving 85% or higher adherence to all Get with the Guidelines® Stroke Performance Achievement Indicators for consecutive 12-month intervals and 75% or higher compliance with 5 pf 8 Get with the Guidelines® Stroke Quality measures to improve quality of patient care and outcomes.

Diabetes Center

Our diabetes self-management training program is certified by the American Diabetes Association.
Cancer Program

The hospital's cancer program is accredited with Commendation as a Community Hospital Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer

The Joint Commission

Iredell Memorial Hospital and Iredell Home Health are fully accredited by The Joint Commission. The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit organization and is governed by a board that includes physicians, nurses, and consumers. It sets the standards by which health care quality is measured in America and around the world.

Stroke Center Certification

The Joint Commission has certified Iredell Memorial Hospital as a Primary Stroke Center for our long-term success in improving the outcomes of stroke patients.

Our designation as a Primary Stroke Center means we have:

  • A trained team that can quickly diagnose and treat stroke patients
  • Established protocols in evaluating stroke patients
  • Technologies to diagnose and treat stroke patients
  • Ongoing education to stay abreast of innovations in stroke treatment
  • A proven record for long-term success in improving outcomes

Wound Care

The Iredell Wound and Hyperbaric Center received the Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Center of Excellence award, because it has met the Center of Distinction quality standards for two consecutive years.

Patient Satisfaction

Iredell Memorial uses Professional Research Consultants to randomly survey patients shortly after their discharge from the hospital. Our scores are sufficient to earn some of our nursing units four-star and five-star patient satisfaction awards.
