Iredell Health System to Hold Large Hiring Event

Iredell Health System (IHS) will host a major hiring event on Tuesday, January 24, as the award-winning healthcare provider seeks to grow in 2017. IHS employs more than 1,600 people and includes Iredell Memorial Hospital, the largest and only non-profit hospital in Iredell County.

“We are setting ambitious goals for this event because we want to find the right candidates to join our team,” said Human Resources Director Julie Parker. “Iredell Health System is committed to providing excellent care and this is a great place to work and grow in a career.”

Candidates attending the event at the Statesville Civic Center will be able to discuss career opportunities with members of the IHS leadership team, with some interviews conducted on the spot. Representatives will be ready to make offers to qualified candidates, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. IHS is also looking for medical office assistants, environmental services staff, and clerical staff. Those hired for qualifying positions can receive signing bonuses up to $5,000. There will also be light refreshments and drawings for prizes.

“The new year brings new opportunities,” said Parker. “We are especially open to meeting with new graduates and professionals and showing them what Iredell Health System has to offer.”
Along with competitive salaries and benefits, IHS invests in its employees, providing tuition assistance and help with career advancement. The Iredell Memorial Hospital Institute for Nursing Excellence helps to cover the costs of specialty certifications, re-certifications, nurse leadership development, and more.

Nursing graduates also have a unique opportunity for professional development at IHS through the RISE program (Residency for Iredell Nurses Soaring to Excellence). RISE consists of clinical and classroom training and weekly meetings with key nursing leaders. It is designed to encourage and assist the new RN graduate to apply effective decision-making skills related to clinical judgment and performance.

“This is more than just a place to work,” said Parker. “Iredell Health System is family. I encourage anyone who is compassionate, driven, and ready to learn to come to this event and see how Iredell Health System can open doors for you.”
