Cardiac Rehabilitation is a medically supervised, comprehensive program
for persons with heart disease. The Cardiopulmonary Rehab team works closely
with program participants and their personal physicians to promote optimal
recovery. Our program is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular
and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
A physician referral is required.
- Acute MI
- Stable Angina
- Coronary Artery By-Pass Surgery (CABG)
- Angioplasty and/or Coronary Stent Placement
- Valve Replacement or Repair
- Heart Transplant or Heart and Lung Transplant
Why Cardiac Rehab?
Cardiac rehab is a multi-disciplinary program of medical care designed
to restore those afflicted with heart disease to a full and productive
life. The medical staff ensures detection of problems and potential complications
that may arise after hospitalization.

Regular progress reports provided to personal physician including vital
signs, symptoms and exercise responses
A Team Approach
In cardiac rehab, we treat not just the heart, but the whole person whose
disease has affected all aspects of life. Our team of specialists will
work with you to prescribe rehab therapy to suit your individual needs.
You will be monitored by the following persons:
- Registered Nurses
- Exercise Specialists/Physiologists
- Licensed Counselor
- Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor
- Prescription for participation in an individualized exercise plan to improve
the functional capacity of the heart and lungs
- Education for patient and family members regarding exercise, nutrition,
medications, heart anatomy and stress
- Individualized nutrition consultation to guide weight reduction and improvement
of cholesterol and triglyceride levels
- Stress management techniques and individualized consultation to assist
in managing anxiety, fear and depression.
- Continuous telemetry monitoring during the exercise session
You will be attending exercise class 3 days a week for 12 weeks or 36 sessions.
Once you choose a class, those class days and times are reserved for you.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your class begins.
