Times have changed. Not so long ago, infusion care services - the administration of intravenous
(IV) medication, such as antibiotics or chemotherapy - may have required
a hospital admission. Advances have been made and we have focused on how
to best support you without interrupting your way of life. For continuity
of care, cost effectiveness, flexibility and time-saving in your treatment,
Iredell Memorial's Infusion Care team is here with you and for you.
Services are provided by our certified, highly trained team and include:
- Chemotherapy Administration
- Hydration therapy
- Blood product administration
- IV antibiotics
Location - your comfort and convenience are priority
Infusion Care Services is located in the Outpatient Services building,
739 Hartness Road (behind the hospital), and parking is conveniently located
next to the building. We offer flexible appointment times and streamlined
processes to assure we fit into your schedule. Our facility includes a
spacious outpatient treatment area with recliners for your comfort and
convenience. A refreshment center is also located in the treatment area
stocked with items for a light breakfast, lunch or snack.
Our RN staff is chemotherapy certified through North Carolina Baptist
Hospital and oncology certified through the National Oncology Nursing
Society. We want to make you particularly aware of the educational resources
available to you. You may stop in any time to browse our patient information
library. Materials are available to you at no charge.
The American College of Surgeons and the Joint Commission of Accreditation
of Hospital Organizations has certified our cancer program. The adoption
of the high standards set forth by these entities reflects our commitment
to quality care for you and your family.
