(Statesville, NC – January 30, 2014) –Iredell Health System will host the second annual Cardiovascular
Forum for medical professionals on Thursday, February 20, 2014.
"The purpose of the forum is to enhance the skill and knowledge of
area health care professionals who care and treat patients with cardio-vascular
disease," said Dr. Charles DeBerardinis, interventional cardiologist,
with Statesville Cardiovascular Clinic.
Physicians, nurses, EMS personnel and mid-level providers will learn, discuss
and debate best cardiovascular practices in 2014. Physician speakers include
Dr. Charles DeBerardinis, interventional cardiologist with Statesville
Cardiovascular Clinic; Dr. Ricardo DeLeon, hospitalist with OptiMed Hospitalists;
Dr. William Newton, vascular surgeon with Wake Forest Baptist Medical
Center; Dr. Dharman Shah, neurologist with Piedmont HealthCare; Dr. Jose
Perez, pulmonologist with Piedmont HealthCare; Dr. Gary DeWeese, cardiologist
with Piedmont HealthCare; Dr. Charles Bridges, Jr., cardio-thoracic surgeon
with the Sanger Clinic; and Dr. Ray Georgeson, cardiologist with Piedmont
The forum is from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Statesville Civic Center
located at 301 South Center Street in Statesville. Participants will receive
breakfast, lunch and educational materials for $25. Register and pay at
