Iredell Health System announced that Dr. Elmer (Sam) Stout has joined the
Iredell Physician Network. His practice, Iredell Stout Internal Medicine
& Wellness, is located at 444 Williamson Road in Mooresville.
“I chose to partner with Iredell, because it gives me the opportunity
to work with a network of providers that place the patient first,”
said Sam Stout, MD. “I have served as an attending physician at
Iredell Health System for more than 30 years. I believe in the non-profit,
cost effective, excellent health care that Iredell provides as the standard
Sam Stout, MD is a board certified internal medicine physician with over
35 years of experience. He believes in treating people and not symptoms
or diagnoses. Wellness is his main focus.
He received his undergraduate degree at Duke University in Durham, NC and
his medical degree at the University of Miami School in FL. He completed
his internship at the Orlando Regional Medical School in Orlando, FL.
Dr. Stout’s passion for his profession is demonstrated in his understanding
of the complexities of Internal Medicine, as well as the potential benefits
of alternative medicine. He specializes in treating the individual patient
at a single point of care with a specialization in disease prevention,
bio- identical hormone replacement, Diabetes, weight management, inflammatory
markers and lipids.
Dr. Stout has been involved in advanced medical research for 12 years.

has performed multiple research studies with a major focus on Diabetes,

Dr. Stout lives in Statesville with his wife Marsha and enjoys the local
community and beautiful Lake Norman.
