Iredell Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center received the 2014 Center of
the Year award for the South East, a region spanning from North Carolina
to Florida. The award was given by Healogics, Inc., the nation’s
largest provider of advanced wound care services. They chose from more
than 100 wound care centers in the South East including other Healogics’
centers in Iredell County.
“We are very honored to receive this award,” said Ed Rush,
CEO of Iredell Health System. “This award represents the leadership
and hard work of the great team of health care providers we have at the
Wound Care Center.”
Iredell Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center was also recognized by Healogics,
Inc., as a
Center of Distinction for the third year in a row and
Center of Excellence for the second year in a row for a patient satisfaction rate of over 92%,
a healing rate equal to or greater than 91%, and needing less than 30
median days for our patients to heal.
The Iredell Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center offers highly specialized
wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers,
infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable
amount of time. Advanced treatments include hyperbaric oxygen therapy,
negative pressure wound therapy, bio-engineered skin substitutes, biological
and biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies.
The Wound Care Center® is a member of the Healogics Network of over
600 centers, with access to benchmarking data and experience of treating
over two million chronic wounds.
