Iredell Health System announced today that Dr. Sherrie Lee, MSN, RN-BC
and Keri Sharp, BSN, RN received the Piedmont Council Medical Explorer
Advisors of the Year award for their outstanding work leading Iredell
Health System’s Explorer Post 614.
“We are proud of the hard work Sherrie, Keri, and the many medical
professionals from the hospital who have supported our community’s
youth through the Explorer program and Camp Med,” said Ed Rush,
CEO, Iredell Health System.
The awards were announced Tuesday evening March 3 at the Piedmont Council
Exploring Appreciation Banquet held at the Hunt Campus Center of Cleveland
Community College in Shelby North Carolina.
Richard Churn, senior exploring executive from the Piedmont Council presented
the awards. This Medical Explorer Post offers real-world, hands on career
experiences for youth of Iredell County who are interested in exploring
medical professions. Over 600 members have been served by the Iredell
Health System post over the past seven years.
Dr. Lee is currently the director of education and Sharpe a nursing supervisor
both at Iredell Health System.
