Iredell Health System will hold its first College Fair on Wednesday, March
23, from 7 am to 7 pm at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
The fair will give attendees an opportunity to meet with representatives
from at least 18 different colleges and universities who have programs
in healthcare-related fields, including nursing, medical assisting, engineering
technology, human resources, and much more. Information about programs
to fit a variety of schedules will also be available. The event is free
to attend and is open to the public.
“We wanted to give employees and community members a chance to speak
to college representatives about furthering their education without having
to take the time to travel to the college or university and make appointments
with recruiters and advisors,” said Christine Olden, Education Specialist
for Iredell Health System. “Whether you’re interested in starting
college, finishing college, or getting an advanced degree, this event
has something to offer you.”
Representatives from the following will be present: Appalachian State University;
Cabarrus College; Catawba College; Catawba Valley Community College; Chamberlain;
DeVry University; East Carolina University; Gardner‐Webb; Kings College;
Lees-McRae College; Lenoir‐Rhyne University; Mitchell Community College;
