Iredell Health System is pleased to announce that the Iredell Wound Care
& Hyperbaric Center has been named a recipient of the Center of Distinction
Award and the Robert A. Warriner III, MD, Center of Excellence Award for
2015 by Healogics, Inc., the nation’s largest provider of advanced
wound care services.
The prestigious Center of Distinction Award is given to centers that achieve
outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including a patient
satisfaction rate of 92 percent or higher, and a minimum wound healing
rate of at least 91 percent within 30 median days, among other quality
standards. The Center of Excellence Award is only given to centers that
have earned the Center of Distinction Award for a minimum of two consecutive
years, and signifies an ongoing commitment to producing positive patient
outcomes. It is the fourth year in a row the Iredell center has been named
a Center of Distinction, and the third year it has been named a Center
of Excellence. Only 221 centers and 110 centers nationwide, respectively,
achieved these benchmarks.

The Iredell Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center offers highly specialized
wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers,
infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable
amount of time. Advanced treatments include hyperbaric oxygen therapy,
negative pressure wound therapy, bio-engineered skin substitutes, biological
and biosynthetic dressings, and growth factor therapies. The center is
a member of the Healogics network of nearly 800 centers, with access to
benchmarking data and proven experience treating more than 2.5 million
