A national organization is recognizing Emily Nabors, MD, FAAFP as a leader among physicians in North Carolina. Dr. Nabors is one of four physicians in the state to receive the 2017 Award of Excellence from the American Health Council. The award recognizes doctors who raise the standard of care through their dedication, character and outstanding efforts.

Dr. Nabors is a board certified Family Medicine physician at Iredell Family Medicine in Mooresville, practicing for more than 10 years in the Lake Norman Area. She has held several leadership positions outside of her practice including serving as a UNC School of Medicine Preceptor and is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She also serves on the board of Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County. Her experience includes serving on a medical mission in Ghana, where she says she gained a better understanding of global health care and the need for better access to care of the underprivileged.

"I am honored to receive this recognition from the American Health Council," said Dr. Nabors. "I love my job and feel truly blessed that people trust me to care for them."

Iredell Family Medicine is conveniently located at 544 Brawley School Road in Mooresville. Emily Nabors, MD and Jodi Stutts, MD, provide care for children, adolescents, adults and senior patients. Both are accepting new patients. For an appointment, call 704-360-5190.
