Monday, February 25, 2019

Iredell Health System welcomes Stephanie Little, FNP-C, as its newest nurse practitioner at Family Care Center of Taylorsville.

“I look forward to working with Iredell Health System and serving the citizens of Alexander County,” Little said. “I have the hopes that together my patients and I will build lasting relationships and work as a team to achieve better health outcomes.”

Little earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing and a family nurse practitioner certificate from Western Carolina University.

Little has worked in the nursing field for over 13 years with experience in public health, pediatrics and women’s health. She has worked as a nurse practitioner since 2016 with experience in primary and acute care of all age ranges.

Little is a certified medical examiner with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. She holds a Drug Addiction Treatment Act waiver from the Drug Enforcement Administration. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Little is also a native of Taylorsville. She participates in events and missionary projects with her local church. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and watching Game of Thrones.

“My five year old niece is the light of my life,” she said.

Little emphasizes a personal approach to medical care.

“I believe that each patient should be treated individually and holistically,” she said. “The provider should take the time to sit down and really listen to their patient’s concerns and work on building a trusting relationship to facilitate treatment.”
