Iredell Health System Announces New Director of Environmental Services

Iredell Health System has hired Chris Coble as its new director of environmental services.
Coble will oversee the department’s day-to-day operations to ensure a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
“My belief is that healthcare is all about the patient,” Coble said. “I love the challenge of building a team that believes in one goal, and supporting the other professionals so they can deliver exceptional patient care. Making sure that patients have a clean, uncluttered environment for healing is what drives me.”
Coble earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from High Point University in High Point, NC.
Now with 30 years of experience in the environmental services industry, Coble was most recently a regional director of operations with ABM Healthcare. Before working as a consultant with JBH Advisory Group, he worked with Aramark for 25 years including stints with Atrium Health, High Point Regional Medical Center, Lexington Memorial Hospital, Alamance Regional Medical Center, and Wake Forest Baptist University Medical Center. He became a certified patient experience professional last year.
“After spending almost 200 nights in a hotel last year, I decided that I wanted to get back to my roots in an operational capacity and eliminate the travel,” Coble said.
Coble is a lifelong North Carolina resident living in High Point with his wife Janice, a registered nurse. He has two grown sons and is an avid fisherman who loves sports and enjoys yardwork. He is an active member of Covenant United Methodist Church.
“The three things that I believe everyone in healthcare should try to do are: take care of yourself, take care of each other, and take care of this place. That covers so much of what we all strive to accomplish.”
