Iredell Health System Hires New Nurse Practitioner

Iredell Health System has hired Kaleah Hendren to be a family nurse practitioner within the Iredell Physician Network.
“I want my patients to feel comfortable when talking with me,” Hendren said. “I want to create a welcoming environment for my patients. I want to provide education and to help them understand their illness in order to treat them appropriately.”
Hendren will primarily see patients at Tondo Internal Medicine, located in Troutman.
Hendren earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Mitchell Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Gardner Webb University, and a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner from South University. She completed graduate school with honors while working full-time and giving birth.
Hendren has 14 years of nursing experience and is a member of the American Heart Association. She earned a stroke certification and an advanced cardiovascular life support certification.
“Every patient is different,” Hendren said. “I enter the patient’s world and see the situation through the patient's eyes.”
Hendren is married with two kids and is a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church. She enjoys being outside and exploring nature with family.
