Iredell Health System Offers Free Learning Tool Through Website
Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to taking charge of your health. Iredell Health System is empowering citizens to live healthier lives through its new online health library. Now available on Iredellhealth.org, the library contains videos, articles and interactive tools on hundreds of topics dedicated to health and wellbeing.
The Iredell Health Library is free for anyone to access and easy to use. The homepage features timely content throughout the year, such as a quiz on the common cold and information on mental health during the holidays. Users can also find information on a specific topic by using the search bar. Other tools include a heart rate calculator, risk assessments, recipes and more.
"This new health library has an abundant amount of information available on wellness, prevention, safety, and many other health topics," said Meagan Kowalski, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Iredell Health System. "Whether you're looking for facts about nutrition and exercise, need help with questions you should ask your doctor at your annual checkup, or something else health-related, it is a valuable resource you now have at your disposal."
The addition of the health library correlates with Iredell Health's new mission and vision, which were reinvented in May 2017.
"Our mission is to inspire wellbeing, and our vision is to lead our neighbors to optimal health," said Kowalski. "Education and awareness is a critical component of accomplishing both our mission and vision, and we're happy to be able to bring this free resource to the community and assist them on their healthcare journey."
To find the health library, go to Iredellhealth.org, and look under "For the Community." Please consult your physician about any health-related decisions.
