Iredell Memorial Hospital is expanding its comprehensive maternity services with a new tool for parents - the Iredell Baby! mobile app. With Iredell Baby!, moms and dads-to-be can track appointments, find birthing classes, read about their baby's development, record special moments and much more.

Iredell Baby! puts helpful tools and information for parents at their fingertips, including a calendar with weekly updates on their baby's development during the pregnancy. Parents can also find information on what to expect during pregnancy, childbirth and the first year of life of their little one. The medical staff of The Birth Place at Iredell Memorial helped to design the custom app with their patients' needs in mind.

"We know the things that help our moms and dads prepare for childbirth and taking an infant home from the hospital", said Sharon Johnson, RN Director of The Birth Place. "Not only does this app have great educational material, we made sure to include things like a packing list and kick counter, things we know will come in handy as they wait for baby to arrive."

Other features include a health tracker and links to classes and tours at Iredell Memorial Hospital. While Iredell Baby! includes specific information for those who plan to have a baby at Iredell Memorial, it was designed for any new parent to use and enjoy at no cost.

"We are excited to introduce this new app to our community," said John Snow, Vice President of Support and Ancillary Services for Iredell Health System. "We see mobile technology as another exciting way we can fulfill our mission to inspire wellbeing."
