Iredell Memorial Announces Changes to Endoscopy, Radiation Therapy Parking Lots During Upcoming Renovation

Thursday, January 2, 2020

Patients receiving treatment at Iredell Memorial Hospital’s Endoscopy department or J. Allen Knox Radiation Therapy Center will soon notices changes to parking and entrances for those two areas of the hospital.

Beginning the week of January 6, construction fencing will surround the hospital’s C/D parking lot, the lot most frequently used by patients and visitors to the two aforementioned areas. During that week, patients will be able to continue to park in that lot despite the construction fence being in place and can continue to access the entrances to those areas from that parking lot.

Starting January 14, however, the C/D parking lot will be closed for construction for approximately 8 months. Patients should follow signs for the hospital’s Main Entrance/Entrance A/Parking A and park in the hospital’s main parking lot (lot A). Several designated parking spaces will be marked specifically for Radiation Therapy and Endoscopy patients, located near the main entrance handicap spaces. Additionally, a patient assistance kiosk has been added to the parking lot where personnel will be available to help transport patients for these areas from the parking lot to inside the hospital using the main entrance.

The temporary changes come as the hospital begins a renovation project for its Endoscopy department. More details on specific renovation plans are forthcoming.
