Iredell Health System is pleased to welcome John C. Nicholson, MD to the Iredell Physician Network, and to announce the opening of a new practice, Nicholson Internal Medicine, in Statesville. Dr. Nicholson is an experienced and established physician in the Statesville area, treating patients in his home community for more than 25 years.

Dr. Nicholson is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in all areas of adult and adolescent care. He earned his medical degree at Duke University and completed his residency at the University of Iowa. His family has roots in Statesville and he has volunteered as a Boy Scout leader and a medical volunteer.

Nicholson Internal Medicine offers comprehensive care, including well and sick visits, health screenings, and treatment of chronic conditions. Dr. Nicholson says he looks forward to continuing working with patients and giving them individual attention to help them reach their health and wellness goals.

"I believe in listening to my patients and giving them time to voice their concerns," he said.
