Nurse Practitioner Joins Harmony Medical Care

Iredell Health System welcomes Malinda Sherrill as its newest full-time nurse practitioner at Harmony Medical Care. She will work alongside Michael Cevasco.

Sherrill earned an associate of science in nursing from Mitchell Community College and a bachelor of science in nursing from Gardner Webb University before earning a master of science in nursing from UNC Charlotte.

Sherrill worked for 15 years in the emergency room setting. She also brings years of experience in pharmaceutical research, cardiology, industrial wellness, and chronic disease management. In addition to being a certified family nurse practitioner, Sherrill is a certified medical examiner and emergency medical technician.

Embodying her commitment to health and wellness, Sherrill applies her skills and passion with profound involvement in her community. As a volunteer leader with Firstline, she helps emergency first responders and their families find hope and healing from their spiritual and mortal trials. She is a guardian ad litem for Iredell and Alexander counties and member of the Ebenezer Volunteer Fire Department.

“I practice holistic care for my patients, helping them formulate individual plans for health and wellness,” Sherrill said. “I believe in promoting healthy living and lifestyles within the community and my patient population and being there to assist them in their times of need and illness.”
