Special practice interests | Dr. Kirchner provides minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). MIGS is a less-invasive glaucoma surgery using microscopic equipment that helps reduce pressure inside the eye. MIGS uses tiny incisions with minimal trauma. It is very efficient, with a high safety profile, and quick recovery times.

Biography
Dr. Kirchner was chief resident during his final year of residency at Krieger Eye Institute.
During his glaucoma fellowship at Yale, he served as an instructor.
He has co-authored numerous publications about eye care health and has been involved in a number of research projects.
Dr. Kirchner has also offered volunteer medical care to patients in the United States, Kenya, and Honduras.
