Fit for Life, offered by Iredell Health System's Cardiopulmonary Rehab team, is a program for people with a medical condition who need a healthcare professional with them while they exercise.
You can be referred by a physician, join the program on your own, or enter after participation in a previous program (diabetes education, cardiac rehab, SET, pulmonary rehab or corporate wellness).
Personal goals:
- Risk factor management.
- Lifestyle modification.
- Exercise in a medically supervised environment.
Program cost is $54.10 per month and includes the following:
- Use of exercise classes and equipment at scheduled times.
- Individualized assessment.
- Modified stress test.
- Exercise prescription.
- Health history and assessment, risk factor management, stress management.
- BP, heart rate and oxygen saturation monitoring.
- Participation in weight training, patient education and relaxation.
- Nutrition, psychosocial consults if requested.
- Body weight and body composition measurements and calculations as requested.
- Reassessment after one year in program or upon exit of program.
- Personal health coach.

Tuesday/Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

This is a medically supervised exercise program for people with intermittent claudication and peripheral artery disease (PAD). A physician's referral is required.
Program includes:
- Therapeutic exercise training.
- Educational management of peripheral artery disease.
- Risk factor education and management.
- Strategies to improve activities of daily living.
- Psychological counseling and/or group support.
- Tobacco cessation.
- Nutritional counseling.
Class schedule:
This is a 12-week program. You have a choice of attending classes 2 or 3 days each week. Once you choose a class, those class days and times are reserved for you. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your class begins.
Three classes per week:
Monday, Wednesday & Friday
Choose a class time of either 7:00, 8:30, or 10:00 a.m.
Two classes per week:
Monday & Wednesday
Class time is 11:30 a.m.
Tuesday & Thursday
Class time is 4:00 p.m.

Meets the 3rd Monday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Iredell Health System's Outpatient Services Building community classroom, 739 Hartness Road, Statesville.
